Hi I'm Pari

I'm a Mormon. I have 4 brothers and no sisters. Now I have four daughters and no sons. I am a Jr High choir and FACS teacher.

About Me

I love being a wife and mother. I grew up in the potato fields of Idaho to two educators. Now I am a teacher, married to a farmer and rancher. When I am not teaching, I ride horses with my daughers. We gather cattle, brand and sort them. We are a strong 4-H family. The girls are in Horse 4-H and Livestock 4-H. We just went to fair in September and sold our two steers and a pig. We volunteer in Farm Bureau and I am a Young Women's President. I love working with the youth. We love family vacations and spending time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a mormon home. From a very young age, I learned the gospel. I am grateful for an Elder brother (Jesus Christ) who chose to die for me so that I could return to my Heavenly Father. My parents were and are great examples of Christ. They have dedicated their life to his service and are serving a mission right now. I remember when I was a sophomore in High School, I decided it was time to gain my own testimony. I fasted and prayed and read The Book of Mormon. I received an answer to my prayers. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. My Father in Heaven knew I would mess up, so he prepared a Savior for me so I could repent when I do wrong. (And I do!) I met my husband who was a return missionary, (he served in Australia for 2 years) and we were married in the temple. What a wonderful experience. I know that our family is forever. He and I will be together through the eternities and our daughters will be with us. It is such a blessing to have the Priesthood in our home. There have been many times when he has been called on to use his Priesthood to bless the sick. Every year before school starts, he gives a father's blessing to each of our girls.

How I live my faith

I volunteer in many areas, most of them are to do with the youth. I am a 4-H leader, a Farm Bureau member, a teacher and a Young Women's President. I work with the girls in our ward that are ages 12-18. We have gospel lessons on Sunday and activities on Wednesday night. Sometimes the activities are just fun (ice blocking, scavenger hunting) and other times they are more spiritual like working on goals that make us better people.
