Hi I'm Ted

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 7 and grandgather of 32 and soon to be greatgrandfather of 1. I have been married to my beautiful wife and companion for 46 years. I worked many years in retail management and then changed occupations to do accounting for the State of Washington for the department of education where I retired after 21 years. I enjoy working with livestock and spending time with my grandchildren, nine of which live in our home at this time. I also love to travel and see this beautiful earth that we live on.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ all of my life and love my Savior and want to follow him. I was raised by wonderful parents that made me want to follow their example. I have had many experiences which have increased my testimony of God The Eternal Father and his Son Jesus Christ. Many times as I have read and pondered the scriptures I have received a witness by the Holy Ghost of the things that are taught there. As my wife and I raised our family we were blessed many times by a loving Heavenly Father who has always been aware of our needs. While serving in many different callings in the church I have been blessed to be able to accomplish many things that I felt incapable of on my own. The Saviors' teachings in the Book of Mormon are taught with such simple clarity that it has helped me to understand many things in the Bible.

How I live my faith

I have served in many positions in the church over the years. It has helped me to learn to communicate with people and lead and help others. Many times I have served with the youth and have been greatly blessed by the associations with these great young people. I think it has helped me to feel younger by these associations. I have served in many teaching positions which have caused me to read and ponder the scriptures. I have been called upon to conduct many meetings which has helped me to overcome the great fear I have of being in front of groups. As a young man I was terribly shy and was unable to talk to people. At 19 years of age I served as a missionary and because of the desire I had to please my Heavenly Father I was able to overcome the terrible fears that I had. I am still uncomfortable in front of people but have learned to control the fear. My years of service in the church and trying to live the commandments of God has made great changes in my life. I would not be what I am today without these experiences.
