Hi I'm Greg

I'm a Electrical Estimator and an Electrician. I love the outdoors. I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Spokane Washington and went to East Valley High School. I played a couple of sports; football, basketball and track which I really enjoyed. I served a mission in South Texas for 2 years. I attended both Ricks and BYU. While I was visiting my parents in California, I met my then to be wife. After a year or so of courtship we were married. She is a convert to the church and was baptized shortly after we were married. We have four beautiful children. My oldest, is a boy, who is serving a mission in Puerto Rico. The others are girls. We live in a small town that reminds me of Mayberry. I love the four seasons here in Colorado. I love to fall asleep with a thunderstorm outside. I love when the first snow flies. I love when the green of spring comes back. I love the heat of summer as long as I can cool off from it. Music is a huge part of my life. I enjoy most genres. Sports, camping, fishing and both types of skiing I love. I love being clean and my family calls me Mr. Clean. I love to travel and see new places and faces. I always think of discovering something new or finding something that has been lost for centuries. Providing for my family and instilling within them a sense of pride in who they are and what they do is huge. I feel that I need to contribute to society and be a part of making it better for everyone.

Why I am a Mormon

I always new that there was more to life than this 100 or so years that we are here. I wanted to know what was true. I feel that if you truly seek for something you will get an answer. I watched the lives of close friends being torn apart by moral issues. I saw that alcohol and drugs however so glamorously portrayed by celebrities and advertisements is something that we all should away from. I saw the example of good leaders and teachers both non-Mormon and Mormon. I felt that there was something that Mormons had that made them stand out. I watched my older brothers all serve missions for the church. I saw the impact that it made on their lives and the lives they touched. I wanted to do the same. I learned through prayer, study and research that this is the church of Jesus Christ. It contains the way of true peace and happiness. That is by following the example of Jesus Christ. He is my friend and my elder brother. I wonder how the rest of the world has forgotten about prophets. Don’t we need one more now today than ever before with how messed up this world has become? Through his living prophets, we can be directed each day on how to overcome mistakes and return with all our families and friends to his presence. I have been in the same room with two of our modern day prophets and can testify that they are God's instruments to us. I have been blessed with this feeling and confirmation by the spirit over and over again. I know that a loving heavenly father would never allow his children to be left without instruction and guidance. We have this assurance in his church and this is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I feel that it is very important that I set a good example. If I don't practice what I preach then my faith does not mean much. I try to live each day in a way that I can be proud of saying that I did my best. Our faith should be daily and not something we do when it is convenient. Doing good deeds for others and doing it in secret is best. To be rewarded from on high is much better than from man. Being what you believe is how I show my faith. I work as an electrician in everyday life. In the business world there are many bad influences that need to be avoided. Setting a good example of what a christian stands for is what I strive to do. I have had many callings in the church and I am currently the clerk in my ward. I work with the Bishop and his counselors to help the members in any way we can. I really enjoy my calling it makes me feel like I'm making a difference. , my example doesn't mean much. So I live everyday what I believe.
