Hi I'm Leisl

I like to run, read, spend time with my family, and travel. I enjoy learning about different cultures and places. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy reading, traveling, and running. I love to spend time in the outdoors with my family. My parents have lived overseas for many years, and I have been able to travel to many different countries, and hope to be able to travel to more. I graduated in Public Health and Spanish and am going back to school to become a dental hygienist. I hope to travel with my husband and go on humanitarian trips when we are both finished with school. I enjoy participating in running events and hope to complete several marathons in my life. I have many nieces and nephews and love spending time with them. One of the greatest joys in my life is spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

The Mormon church gives me peace that I can not find anywhere else. It awnsers the great questions of life...Why are we here? Where did we come from? Where are we going? What is my purpose in life? I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and that he loves each of us individually. My parents are both converts to the church, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when they were in college. Although I have been a member of the church all of my life, I too had to find out for myself if this is the true church. I prayed and did receive an answer. I know it is the true church and that happiness and peace can be found in it. The gospel of Jesus Christ and His true church make me happy. I know my purpose in life and I know my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

For several months I helped with the 10 yr old cub scouts. I loved working with these young boys and helping them learn skills and values that will bless and help them the rest of their lives. Looking back, I know that they were the ones that actually taught me. Another part of my faith is service to others. I enjoy participating in church and community service projects. It has brought purpose and meaning to my life. I know that as we serve those around us, we are also serving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
