Hi I'm Meagan

I am a cat lover, artist/writer wanna be. I love to read and do puzzles. I am a mormon.

About Me

I love to read fantasy books. I have a few drawing and cooking skills. i like to do arts and crafts such as plastic canvas, cross stitch things like that. Right now I am on my mission in Jacksonville, Florida. I have three cats (whom I adore) and two albino gerbals (cute little things gerbals). My parents have been divorced since i was 5 and i have moved around a lot. I have two younger brothers. I try to be as optomistic as possible, I find it makes the world a much nicer place to live.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church but I did have my own conversion. Someone once told me that whether you were born in the church or not you must have a conversion in order to go from "I believe" to "I know" and that is exactly what happened to me. I was on of the lucky ones and had my conversion at about 9 years old. we were living in Vancouver, Washingtion at the time. My mom and step-dad were having a major fight in the hallway. I was terrified that my step-dad would hurt my mom and i was rocking myself back and forth on my bed crying hard wishing that they would stop. suddenly I felt someones arms wrap around me and i was no longer rocking myself. There was nobody in the room but me, yet i could feel the warmth of and strength of another person just holding me and comforting me, letting me know everything would be okay. My mom and step-dad were still fighting but it was like someone put some ear plugs in my ear because i could no longer hear them as loudly as before and I was able to lay down and go to sleep. My mom and step-dad divorced shortly after that. Now some may think it was just a coincedence that I felt that way and that my mom and step-dad just quited down so that they wouldn't wake us up. But I KNOW that it was my heavenly father holding me letting me know that everything would be okay that my mom was safe and I could relax and go to sleep. That is why I am a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I have had callings in the church as a youth leader/counselor, I have led the music for some of the classes and I have been an activites assitant co-ordinater. I am currently serving a mission in Jacksonville, Florida

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Yes, it is true that Jesus Christ appeared in North America after he was resurrected. The bible even talks about Christ visiting other peolpe. In John 10:16 Jesus christ is telling the people of Jerusalem that he has other "sheep" and they too he must visit. He is talking about the people in the americas that seperated from the people of Jerusalem hundreds of years before. Show more Show less
