Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up in the western US. I love learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My dad was in the Air Force. We moved a lot when I was growing up. I majored in Ancient Near Eastern Studies and built a 3D computer model of Herod's Temple. I was fortunate to be able to study in the Holy Land on several occasions. I loved being there and cherish that experience. I did graduate work in Instructional Technology. I love climbing mountains. I've climbed the Grand Teton and some of the Colorado 14ers. I often commute to work on my bike (25 miles each way). I have a big family (6 kids) and because of that, I don't get to spend much time on my interests - I just work and take care of them. Maybe I'll get back to my interests later. : ) I help in the Scouting program. I do my best to be kind to people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Christian because I've felt God's love for me and I believe the Biblical account of Jesus' life and suffering and death on my behalf. I'm a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon to be true.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth as part of the Scouting program. I enjoy working with them to design experiences that push them and give them opportunities to grow. I try to say kind words and be encouraging to other people.I help people when they have to move. I occasionally am involved in service projects with local charities.I think a big part of living my faith is being responsible for my family. Just about all my time is spent taking care of them and serving in the Church.
