Hi I'm Tia

I am a sister, a best friend, a photographer, an aspiring Special FX Makeup Artist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Tia, I'm 17 year old junior in High School and I plan on becoming a Special Makeup FX Artist and traveling the world. I love shopping, photography, zombies, getting lost in a good book or movie and going to museums. My dream is to find a wonderful man I deserve and begin an eternal family. I am a sister to 6 brothers and sisters, 3 of which are in heaven. I lost my big brother and one of my little sisters to a condition called Muscular Dystrophy, it is a disease that deteriorates the muscle tissue and in my siblings case caused blindness. I lost one of my other little sisters due to miscarriage and if she had lived she would have had the same disease as my other brother and sister. While hard, their loss has made me a better and stronger person in both character and faith because it makes me strive that much harder to be the best I can and return to them in heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and therefor have been a member my whole life, but even when your raised in the church you still at some point have to go through your own conversion process. In other words you have to figure out for yourself "Do I really believe these teachings?". That's one of the many things I love about this church, no one forces you to believe or do anything and it makes it that much more personal and helps me grow as a person. The principle that the church teaches that is most important in my life is that families can be together forever. It is this that keeps me striving to be able to return to my family and Father in heaven and to have an eternal family with my future husband. As a young woman in the church, I have the privilege of knowing that I am a daughter of God, The Daughter of a King, and a daughter of royalty. I wish every woman including men could know how special they are and their infinite divine potential. Through God you are capable of anything. It is because of these truths and knowledge that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do. Not just by giving talks and bearing my testimony in church, but by doing my best to be like my Savior. I live my faith through the simple things, being a good example to my siblings and everyone around me, complementing a friend or acquaintance on something they have done or if they look nice. Anything to make someone smile or feel good, one comment can change the mood of someones whole day for the good. Most importantly I live my faith by sharing the gospel with everyone around me, and giving them the opportunity for the blessings and immense happiness that I have.
