Hi I'm Logan Kochevar

I'm a high school student. I'm a son and a brother. I'm an athlete. I'm adopted. I'm a big goof. And I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. I love to try new things and step outside of my comfort zone. I attend Brigham Young University. I am involved in servant leadership at BYU and I am dedicated to serving and helping others within my school and community. I will take any opportunity that will allow me to try new things and meet new people. In my free time I can either be found outside hiking, boating, or anything that keeps me active and exploring. I also love watching movies. My family is very important to me and I love spending time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have gained a testimony and I know without a shadow of a doubt that this church and this gospel is so incredibly true. I cannot express how much joy and how much peace this gospel has brought into my life through a computer screen but I know that because of this gospel I have grown closer to my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He cares about every single one of us and has a unique plan for each and every one of us. He wants us to be happy and I know that if I follow His commandments and have an open heart that He will shape me into the person I am supposed to be. I know that Jesus Christ loves us more then we can ever imagine. The atonement allows us to be forgiven and I know that regardless of our past if we humble ourselves we can return to our Heavenly Father someday. Again I cannot express enough my surety that this gospel is true and that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will ALWAYS be there for us and they love us so much it's insane. I am a Mormon because nothing else in this life can bring us as much happiness, purpose, and love then the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly trying to help and serve those around me and also by sharing how happy this gospel makes me to anyone who is willing to listen. I have used my position as a leader in my school to be an example to others and to reach out to those who may need help. I try to incorporate the teachings of this gospel into every aspect of my life and try to follow the example of Jesus Christ.

What is being a Mormon like?

One of the greatest reasons for being here on earth is to "have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). Personal prayer, scripture study, and attending church helps us better understand that the best way to find joy and happiness in this life is to know about Our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to strive to keep God's "law" (Proverbs 29:18). Families are an essential part of God's Plan and much of how we live focuses on our families. We want to share the happiness we enjoy with everyone we can through service, missionary work, and contributing to society. Show more Show less
