Hi I'm Chris

I'm a husband and father of two little girls. I'm a fly-fisherman and a cyclist,.. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with my girls in the mountains or planting and picking treasures from our vegetable garden and strawberry patch. I love to cycle and "climb hills". I love to get out with my fishing buddies to flyfish for trout on the mountain streams of Colorado. I'm a cheesehead and a Packer Fan and love to cook brats in beer and onions and eat it smothered in saurkraut and mustard. Spending time in the evenings with my girls and our dogs watching a favorite family show in the perfect way for me to wind down from a long day.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's the most amazing group of people who truly care about me and my family. But first, I came to be a Mormon because my girlfriend, who is now my wife, was Mormon but never pushed the church on me. She and her family were simply an example to me of the great people this church fosters to create. It was eight years into our marriage before I was baptised, but was noted by others to be a "dry Mormon" for those eight years. The fellowshipping and service of this church is more powerful than I ever experienced in my earlier years. AND, the church revolves around Jesus Christ and the opportunity to work each day to become a better person toward those around me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be better each day with serving others. I try to learn from my wife's example of continued service to others. I teach a Sunday school class to 9 year old boys and am amazed at how much they know about Jesus' life and teachings and the early years of this church and the prophets of this continent before, during, and after Jesus' physical time on earth.
