Hi I'm Cary

I volunteer for the Boy Scouts, Goodwill, and work full-time as an accountant. I play electric bass. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was in high school, I enjoyed cars, basketball, camping, and music. I knew some LDS kids in school, but I got to know them better when I started playing basketball with them. Today, I am LDS, married with four kids, and two cute dogs. I don't work on cars or play basketball any more, but I do play the electric bass with some LDS friends in a little band. I still enjoy camping and hiking. I love people and try to find ways to serve them in my community. My parents are good people. They are not LDS, but they have been great examples for me. And, they are my best friends. I try to be the same way with my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the LDS church after high school. The young men and young women that I met while playing basketball and going to LDS dances were great examples of people having fun while trying to live good Christian lives. They wanted to better themselves. They wanted to get married and have families. They enjoyed life. I wanted those things too. I attended church with them and was baptised three weeks later. It felt right; I felt peace within my heart.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life like a good Christian every day of the week, not just on Sunday. Integrity is important to me both in my personal life and at work. I enjoy being around people with similar values, so I volunteer to serve in Boy Scouts, at the Goodwill, and visiting families from church. In the past, I've been an assistant baseball coach for little league, interpreted American Sign Language, and donated time to other community service organizations. I'm trying to be an example to my children so that they will have a desire to live a good Christian life and serve others as well. When I feel peace in my heart, I know I've done the right things.
