Hi I'm Afton

I've lived in Arizona since I can remember and am excited to start my own family soon. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read books, study interesting subjects, and watch action movies or tv series. My favorite sport is swim and I love to watch the olympics, especially figure skating. I enjoy spending time in nature and participate in archery. I currently work full time, hoping to go back to school some day, and am just starting my family. I previously participated in school choirs, theater, and clubs. I am very interested in politics and currently work in the financial industry.

Why I am a Mormon

With all the changes in life, where I live, jobs I take, financial concerns, and people who support me, the only constant is Jesus Christ and his love for me. I am a Mormon because I know He lives. I find peace in living his teachings and becoming like him. It is through his will that the church was restored and I am blessed to be a part of it. Sometimes I forget why I continue to participate in the church activities and programs, but every time I pray for an answer, my faith is renewed, His love fills my soul and my doubts are swept away with a stronger desire to serve Him and do His will. As I communicate with my Heavenly Father through His son Jesus Christ in prayer, I receive a witness that The Church of Jesus Christ is the one true organization that facilitates God's work on earth. With strength and conviction I try again and again to change my life and accomplish the small steps. I'm not perfect, but I know my Savior lives, He loves me and I am willing to serve Him with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing my talents with my community. I play the piano for the children when they learn songs about Jesus, sing in the choir for church and visit other women in my neighborhood to build friendship and strength in the Gospel.
