Hi I'm Tyson Gerber

I grew up in Logan, Utah. I am a financial coach & business owner. I love animation. I am a first time father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Logan, Utah. My wife is pregnant with our first child. We are very excited to be first time parents. I went to Salt Lake Community College and was a Senator at the school. I went on to do animation. I went to Havard where New York Films had courses there. I graduated and was working in car animation. I then moved into the financial field because of my father. I now have my own office in Colorado and am enjoying helping families get out of financial stress and move into financial independence!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a religion there is always a point where one comes to think. Do I really believe? or was I raised up in it? So I told my parents I wanted to get a job in a different state, so I could have time to ponder what I wanted to do in life and find out truely for myself if the Church of Jesus Christ was true. So I left to be a lifeguard up in New Hampshire. There I went to different churches. One great influence and friend of mine was Methodist that I had grown fond of. What I discovered in going to different churches was great people, that believed in God just like I did. People that loved and cared about each other just like in my church. It was a great experience. I would come home and pray earnestly seeking to get an answer to know if I was in the true church of God. because I was confused. There were many different beliefs all good people but the doctrines were different one from another. It wasn't for 3 months till I received my answer. My sister was pregnant with her first child. I heard that she had a cyst that was a size of a quarter and that it was growing and going to interfear with the pregnancy and possibly harm the baby. I loved my sister and for 3 days straight I prayed to God; if I am to know of the truthfulness of your church show me. If you can make a miracle happen. I will know that you want me to serve a mission and that this is your true church. The next day my sister went in to do 1 last x-ray before they would start the surgery and the cyst went from a size of a quarter and had shrunk to a size of a pea. I knew right then my prayers had been answered. I felt his love and I know that this church is true. God loves all of his children, he has a plan for all of us, and I am greatful to have served our God. To let his children know he loves them and bring them back to him.

How I live my faith

I am a business owner and a financial coach. With that comes a lot of responsiblities. A lot of people watch me and my actions. I had a client I was running late for an appointment and I told him I was going to be about 5 mins late. I had just got done with a client at Starbucks and was on my way. When I got to my office, he was there and he seemed puzzled. He knew I was from Utah and asked. I thought Mormons don't drink coffee. I said, Yes that is correct. He asked, Why were you at Starbucks then if you don't drink coffee. I smiled and thought that is very interesting. I never thought I could give a wrong impression to someone just going to a specific restaurant or store. I told him I either get water or we can drink hot chocolate. I respected this man for questioning my beliefs. People are always watching and know what we believe. So if you see a Mormon with a "coffee cup", it is most likely Hot Chocolate! hahaha.... :)
