Hi I'm Anthon

I'm an Athlete, an Artist, a Finance Counselor and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Premed student working two jobs and studying full time at my university. My favorite hobby is hiking so every chance I get I try to spend with friends outdoors. Growing up as a middle child in a small town I have always been surrounded and supported by many family members and close friends. My grandparents were farmers and builders; my grandfather owned his own roofing company. My family has also served many years in the united states Army, Navy, and Air force between brother dad and grandfathers, so I grew up very patriotic. I am the 4th of 8 children, my family is great and they're my heroes. My hobbies range from drawing and graphic design to choir and music, but I also like to play sports football, basketball, volleyball, racquetball, and tennis.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in the principles taught in the scriptures and I have come to know my Savior through following his teachings and accepting the power of his atonement to help me overcome both sins and trials. I'm a Mormon because of prayer. I believe that God answers prayers and when I needed to know for sure about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I prayed about Joseph Smith and about the Book of Mormon and I felt the confirming witness of Holy Ghost so strong each time that I knew it was right. I knew that I wanted to keep feeling the Holy Ghost and increase my relationship with my Heavenly Father and that to me means living what I believe.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by developing my character to be a disciple of Christ. I find inspiration from the scriptures and from church leaders I've worked with who have been examples to me of what it means to lift others and serve selflessly. I observe a set of basic standards that I believe come from God and I do my best to maintain them regardless of where I am or who I am with. I do this because I understand before this life our spirits were with God and that he created this earth and when we die we are judged for our time here. I believe that Jesus Christ will be able to help us overcome death and sin and if we are willing to live now as he did and keep his commandments, we can return to His presence and live forever with my Heavenly Father. This understanding of my relationship with God affects my everyday choices and I try to remember my long term goals as I work hard and study hard and use the time I have to make this life meaningful for myself and others.
