Hi I'm Terry Mann

I was born in Washington State. I have lived most of my life in Washington. I have also lived in Canada and Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an electrical engineer, but I spend more time now as a manager than doing engineering. I love to garden. I have an amateur radio license and like to help others learn more about how radios work. I am married to a wonderful woman and we have four children and two grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I love Jesus Christ and am humbled to think he bled and died for us, His brothers and sisters. Three times in my life I have felt intense physical pains. Once I had an object impaled in my hand. Once I had an object impaled in my foot. Most recently I had a kidney stone that caused me to sweat from every pore in my body. My pains were nothing to what Jesus suffered for us. He had nails driven into his hands and feet and then hung from those. In the garden, he sweat drops of blood. He suffered these willingly because He loves us. I love the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Both books teach us about how to be more like Jesus. I testify that Joseph Smith was called of God to reestablish the Church of Jesus Christ. I testify that the heavens are not sealed, but that God loves us today and has messages for our day.

How I live my faith

First, I serve the Lord by providing for my family. A past President of the Church (David O. McKay) said that no other success can compensate for failure in the home. Providing a safe home for my family is my top priority. Second, I serve our congregation as a counselor to our bishop. We are all part of God's family. The Book of Mormon teaches us that as we are serving our brothers and sisters we are serving God.
