Hi I'm David

I'm a Mormon living in Arizona with my wonderful family. I grew up in the Bay Area of California loving the mountains and ocean.

About Me

I love sports and find every opportunity to play, whether it’s playing catch with my kids, kicking the ball around, shooting hoops or running at night. I grew up near the ocean and loved boogie boarding and skim boarding with my family and friends. Since I lived only a few hours from the Sierras, I found every opportunity to go skiing during the winter. I am striving to bring that same joy that I had as a boy to my own family as we share experiences while camping, skiing, and living it up at the beach. I strive each week to take my wife out on a date. My wife brings me great joy and we love being parents of 3 wonderful children. I feel blessed to be a husband and father. I love reliving my childhood through my own children. They have such energy and love for life that it helps me to never loose focus on family time.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I was born, my parents lived next to a family who happened to be members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and they introduced the church to my parents. My mom and dad prayed for themselves and received answers to their prayers that this church was true and that the Book of Mormon was true. Growing up in the church has been such a great blessing in my life. My parents taught me and encouraged me to live a life that my Father in Heaven would be pleased of. Though I am not perfect, I have come to know for myself that only through the atonement of Jesus Christ all sins can be forgiven. I love my Savior and Redeemer. I know Jesus Chris was resurrected and lives. He loves me and desires me to return back to him. I know there is a living God who knows me and is concerned for my eternal progression. As I live the commandments to the best of my ability, my life is blessed and I feel my Heavenly Father's love for me. I know God created a plan for his children -us- to come to earth, gain a body, endure and overcome personal challenges.

How I live my faith

I have the privilege of working with young men in both the church and the boy scout program. I enjoy interacting with the young men as we find opportunities to serve others and go on fun activities. We meet every Sunday to learn the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the scriptures. On weekdays we find ourselves hiking up rugged mountains, cleaning someone's yard, or playing sports. It's truly a joy to serve for and with members of my community. I feel the more active I am in serving others the more joy I feel about myself and others.
