Hi I'm Kate

I'm a mother who loves her family and sees the love of God in my life every day. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of a son, daughter, and golden retriever. I am the wife of a sports fanatic. I graduated from college with a degree in elementary education. I am a recently certified personal trainer who loves to run. I love to spend time with my husband and children, but I also love to spend time alone with my thoughts (especially on a long walk or run). I love to read, hike, bike, and watch tv.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that believed in the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a child I trusted in parents and teachers as they taught me what they believed. As a teenager I questioned their beliefs and prayed to know for myself if the things my parents had taught me were true. Powerful experiences helped me to feel the Spirit of God to testify of God and his Son Jesus Christ. But, for the most part, my belief in Christ's Gospel comes daily as I study the scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father. Over time my faith has grown stronger. I feel confirmation of my beliefs as I teach them to my own children. My husband does not have a belief in God, so I strive to teach my children how to know these things for themselves. I try to share the joy and comfort that the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives to me, and let them know how to develop their own faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example of faith and charity. I strive to run a home that has love and kindness at it's heart. I try to love and serve people around me and teach my children to do the same. My faith brings me happiness and I want to share that with my neighbors, friends, and family. I have the opportunity to run the nursery each Sunday during our church meetings. All of the 18 month to 3 year-old children come to my nursery while their parents learn and serve in other meetings. This can be such an adventure! With 18 children chaos is sure to come, but I see quiet, reverant moments during our time together when I know these children feel the love of a God who cares about them. I have developed a love for each of these children and who they are to become. I have experienced the blessing of patience I never thought I had. I live my faith by trying to become more and more like my Savior, Jesus Christ, so that I can become an instrument in His hands to help those around me.
