Hi I'm Tim

I AM a Husband and Father, a Farmer and Rancher, I love to Work, Run, and Fly Airplanes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I take a moment to ponder a description of who I am, it would have to start with where I come from... I was born and raised on a Farm and Ranch the third child in a family of four children... my parents were and are very good and giving people who worked hard to provide to my needs. I learned to love work, to plant and have faith that things would grow, my Father taught me to be kind and to respect the needs of others, my Mother taught me to be smart and courteous when making important decisions. I learned to speak and dream in spanish as I served a mission in the country of Venezuela where I gained an increased depth to what my parents were talking about as they taught me tolerance for differences among people. I attended College, University, and Graduate school after I married the love of my life. I studied Agriculture and Business with intention to someday return to the place of my upbringing. Life has taken me to the Beef Industry, the commercial real estate brokerage industry, the non-profit sector of our economy and most recently the professional managment of assets for individuals involved in agriculture. I am closer today than I have ever been to fullfililling my mission on earth and walking with the Lord to help others daily. Life is good and I love to be alive. Hobbies include; Running relay and invididual long distance races, flying general aviation airplanes, spending time with my family, working, and serving those around me. Life is Great!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a family that belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, although both of my parents were recent converts at the time I came into this world. As such I have always had the influence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life to a certain degree. I believe there is a unique opportunity to look to those you love for guidance in Faith related matters and that a family is strengthened when they are headed the same direction. Such has been the genesis of my relationship with Jesus Christ and why I am a Mormon today. Following the Savior of this world in this world is a very personal endeavor for me and it is augmented by the support and love of my Family, I value very highly the stance my Faith takes on the importance of the Family, especially as we see every effort to the contrary attempting to tear down the institution of marraige and righteous rearing of children. In addition I am a Mormon because when I pray and study I feel something inside my heart and mind grow that coincides with life and happiness, it isn't an audible affirmation or a visual one, it is a personal testimony that helps me to realize there is a Father in the Heavens that he sent his Son for me and every other person to ever walk this planet in all ages. Lastly the witness I have received is based mainly on the attention that I give to the details of learning his teachings, which to me just makes plain and simple sense... I believe that Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven want to be active in our lives and as such there is a personal effort that is required. It is that effort to near myself to them that causes me to continue.

How I live my faith

I am a simple man and my approach to living this life is similar... There are infinite ways to express belief and devotion and I choose to do it based in the relationships I have with others, whether it be my business, social, or familial circles I take the oppotunity to be myself. I have made decisions in my life to be different in areas where the normal is extremly entrenched. Small things I have worked on over the years such as the way I listen to someone... I do my best to Listen because I believe that Christ was the great Listener, among other things I believe He listened to the people so as to know how to serve them in every situation he found himself engaged. So in this life I choose to Listen. After Listening I also endeavor to live my Faith in the way I speak to others. Speech is so powerful, I am certain that as we speak others will either be drawn to what we have to say or they will distance themselves from us. I choose speak highly of others in every situation I find myself and to keep away from tearing people down.
