Hi I'm Tyler

I'm "daddy" to two girls. I'm "brother" to six guys. I'm a normal family guy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town, moved away to college, and there met my sweetheart. A few years later and we now love our little family of four! I grew up with six brothers and no sisters, so my wife and two daughters are helping me understand the girl's perspective on the world. Luckily the girls like to go out camping and fishing in the mountains with me. I am an accountant by day(and sometimes by night when things get busy), but it is sure hard to be away from the fam. I also enjoy a long run or a full-court basketball game when I can fit it in.

Why I am a Mormon

The more I learn and understand by reading the scriptures and listening to our modern day prophets, the more the wonderful plan that our Heavenly Father has for us makes perfect sense. He has sent us here to earth to learn and grow, and be tested. He knew we would make mistakes, and has provided a way, through his son Jesus Christ, for us to repent, become clean again, be saved and return to live with him some day. His church has been established on the earth to organize and facilitate our progression and salvation. Through revelation given to living prophets, we can understand what it is exactly that we need to be doing today. Through the proper authority found in the church we can receive all the saving ordinances necessary to return to Him, the first ordinance being baptism by immersion. The Lord has also provided a way for families to be together forever, which is one of the amazing blessings we can enjoy from visiting the temple. I know that this is His church. I have seen the principles taught here change my life and the lives of many others. I have felt the Spirit testify to me many times throughout my life that this is where he wants us to be. I know that we have a living prophet that leads the church on the earth. I know that we can live with our families forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the words of the prophets. We believe in the Bible as well as The Book of Mormon as divine ancient scripture and I strive to read and apply them to my life every day. I also listen to the warnings and guidance that our current prophet and apostles are speaking today. I have been assigned to organize the service and teaching of the adult men in our local area. This entails organizing visiting assignments so that each member is visited in their home each month, as well as coordinating what will be taught on Sundays. I additionally help out with missionary efforts and the general welfare needs in the area. I try to be an instrument of the Lord's in any way that I can.
