Hi I'm Michele

I'm a mother of six, a wife and an Emergency Medical Technician and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a stay at home mother for thirty years. I have volunteered at the Children's hospital close to my home for several years. I love music and I play the piano, guitar and violin. I love to paint with watercolors. I have directed plays. Recently, I went back to school and recieved a license as an Emergency Medical Technician.

Why I am a Mormon

I felt for the first time the Spirit of the Holy Ghost telling me in my heart that the Savior loved me when I was seven years old. My brother asked me to stand up with him and share my testimony. I didn't really know much about the Savior at that age or the church but I remember the warmth and love that I felt as I tried to stand up and say what I believed. I remember feeling distinctly that the Lord loved me and knew me. As I have grown, I have felt this feeling many times as I live the commandments of God and as I read the scriptures. I love the Bible and reading about the prophets of old. I especially love the scriptures about the Saviors life here on the earth and about his resurrection. I know that these scriptures are true. I also know that the Book of Mormon is true. It is also an account of prophets of old and of the Saviors visit to the America's after his resurrection. I feel the Spirit of the Holy Ghost testify to my mind and heart that these things are true. It feels the same as when I was seven years old and I felt the love of the Savior in my heart. It is a feeling that I cannot deny. It is a great blessing to me to be able to feel this spirit everyday as I read the scriptures. This is why, as an adult, I remain a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If I know that the Book of Mormon is true, than the church is also true.

How I live my faith

I try to live the way the Savior would have me live, everyday. I try to live as he taught us to live in the scriptures. I try to be kind to others, forgiving, helpful, honest. I try to obey all the laws of the land. I volunteer because I want to be of help to others. I have taught youth at church and at school and I hope that I have been a good roll model for them of someone trying to do their best. I am trying to make a difference in others lives by living the best life that I can. Just smiling and saying "Hi" as I walk past someone on the street can make their day better. One of the reasons that I am trying to be an Emergency Medical Technician is that I want to make a difference for good in others lives. I want others to feel better about themselves and their lives because they had contact with me.
