Hi I'm Donny.

I'm a follower of Christ and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost I have a beautiful wife and three baby girls. I'm currently in third block of the nursing program, and plan to continue my education after getting my RN. My wife and I are very family oriented and do everything together. We are into fitness and like to snowboard, wakeboard, scuba, snorkel, camp, hike and travel (especially tropical places).

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a small town full of Mormons but was raised in a different Christian faith. Although I knew they were good people, I didn't believe in Joseph Smith or the Book of Mormon for a second. Later in my life I was challenged to take the missionary discussions, so I did, hoping to teach them something. The first lesson I was blown away, and thought "wow, whoever made this up really did there homework. It makes a lot of sense." Still not believing a word of it, I took the second discussion to bring up some of the anti-Mormon things I was taught. I never had the chance. As the missionaries taught me the plan of salvation, I knew with every thing in me that what they were teaching me was true. I have always had a personal relationship with Christ, but I have never felt a confirmation of the Spirit like I did that day. I am grateful for the worthy missionaries who shared their testimonies and Spirit, that I may know of my Savior better and His plan for me. I testify that I know that The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church restored in the latter days. And that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am grateful for all the Lord has blessed me with and try my best to live the teachings that Christ taught. Although I often fall short, I know the Savior's atonement allows me to continue my path to try to be as He is.
