Hi I'm Gailine

I grew up in Canada. I now live in the USA. I am a Mom and work as an Oncology RN. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married mother with one son. Our son was our foster son until we adopted him in 2003 and both my husband and I feel blessed to have him in our life. I work as an RN administering chemotherapy to cancer patients. I love my job but my most important job is in the home. I love outdoor activities and going home to Canada every summer.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all of my life. My parents were converted to the gospel when 2 missionaries knocked on their door 46 years ago. I was born 3 years after they joined the church. When I was a young girl the spirit testified to me the truthfulness of the gospel. When I moved out at 18 I then had to choose for myself if I wanted to continue in the gospel. I recognized that living the gospel made me happy and made a committment at that time to live the gospel to the best of my ability for the rest of my life and have been ever since. I don't know how I would ever survive this life without the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel helps me to have an eternal perspective on every day problems both big and small. Everything from Infertility to the stressors of raising a child with mental illness. I know that when all else fails my Heavenly Father knows what I am going through and He is there for me. I also know that my Savior has felt every pain that I have felt and that He is always with me. The Holy Ghost testifies to me that this is true and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I currently work with the children in our church. The children I work with are ages 3-11. I enjoy so much feeling their sweet and innocent spririts. They love to participate in our lessons and know so much more than I did at their age. They amaze me so much and I love working with the them. In my spare time I love to help out on our community garden that donates thousands of pounds of fresh produce to the food bank every year. I also love to volunteer at my son's school and a cancer foundation that I have been working with for 11 years now.
