Hi I'm Eric

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of nine. My parents, five other brothers, one sister and me. I'm the oldest in my family and I'm right now in the MTC preparing to serve in the Costa Rica San Jose mission. Before coming here I graduated high school and went to two semesters of college. I like to travel and get to see how other cultures live. I like to go mountain biking and occasionally go golfing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church. I'm a Mormon because the Church teaches things that I know to be right. I know the things that this Church teaches are true because I have prayed to our Heavenly Father to know that they are true. I'm also a Mormon because I like the fact that we can be together with our families forever. Another reason is because I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book. What it teaches was written for this day now. Through reading, meditating, and praying about it I have come to know that what it teaches is right. The Book of Mormon tells us also how to return to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Before my mission I attended church every week and performed my calling or "job" to the best of my ability. I believe that if I do my calling to the best of my ability, that I can help other people's experiences in church to be better. Also before coming on my mission I went to our youth activity every wednesday. As I attended that, it allowed me to build friendships with other kids my age. I also come from a family that has been taught to serve others. I've always found that while serving people we can feel a great feeling that makes us want to do more service. Also with the people you serve, they have a greater desire to serve others as well.
