Hi I'm Jolynn

I'm a Mom and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Mom and a wife. I work part time to help pay for my son's mission. I love crafts and am into knitting and crocheting right now. I love to teach the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I had my own testimony of its truthfulness before I was baptized at age 8. I have always loved the Church and its teachings. I have had my testimony re-affirmed many times in my life and it has grown in depth and breadth. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been the yard stick I try to measure up against. It has helped me through every difficult time in my life. The gospel is an essential part of my life and it helps me grow and improve every day. I can't imagine life without the Church and its teachings.

How I live my faith

I live a simple life, but I serve my family, friends, and the Church. My faith has made me a better wife and mother. I try each day to improve on yesterday. I serve in the girls' youth organization at Church and as a visiting teacher in the women's organization. A visiting teacher goes to the home of certain women every month to share a gospel message. They are also to build friendships and support systems among the women. This program has blessed my life in so many ways! I also teach an adult religion class. I try to serve others as I can.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Jolynn
Temples are like churches, only more sacred. You need to be worthy to go there and that means that you are trying to keep the covenants you've already made with God in the manner He describes. Temples are places of learning. I learn more about me and who I am when I go often. I also feel God's love there more strongly than anywhere else because it is a sacred place, set aside as God's house and when I go there, I spend time with Him. Show more Show less
