Hi I'm Roland

I am married with 4 kids just had our first grandson. I enjoy creating all kinds of things in our yard, ATV, and public speaking.

About Me

I grew up very dyslexic and I felt broken, or that I wasn't as good as the other kids. My Mother always told me that God would not give me more than I could handle. Most school days it felt like I couldn't handle it. I was told that I was just lazy and that I would not be able to support a family etc... I prayed a lot asking to be healed and that my dyslexia would be taken away from me. When I was around 10 years old a man called my house to leave a message for my dad but I could not write. I started drawing pictures of what he was saying then when my dad got home I told him the message through my pictures. For the past 26 years I have owned an advertizing agency where I draw pictures and tell stories for a living. I also love to speak to professional groups. Some time for hours so my notes need to be detailed. I still use that same method I learned at 10 years old. The lord has blessed me with ways around my dyslexia. I think in pictures, God has also put people in my life that had to over come even greater obstacles. But best of all he gave me great parents that stand for me. With the lord you can do any thing you just may need to do it in a different way.

Why I am a Mormon

Having the lord in my life, knowing I can be guided by him every day, and be able to guide my family. Know the things I need to do to be a better father. The church gives me opportunities to serve in a lot of different ways to help people in need and for me to stay closer to him by serving others. Also having a strong group of members around me to grow and fellowship with. Having the lord to guide me in my every day life and to help find my way.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. Each week I work hard to live the gospel and magnify my callings. I studying Jesus teachings. I help the young men at church to know that someone is thinking about them. In our church we have no paid clergy. Many of us spend many hours each week teaching and serving each other.
