Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a wife and stay-at-home mom who enjoys socializing. I love traveling and meeting people all over the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a degree in English teaching, but I find my biggest teaching career is in my own home. I'm the mother of two energetic boys who keep me on my toes. I love it! My hobbies include writing, taking pictures of my kids, playing tennis, spending time with friends and family and traveling. I have had the opportunity to study abroad in London and travel to different countries. My favorite places I have visited include Italy and Uganda. I hope to instill my love for seeing the world in my children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon but have taken the time to find out for myself that this gospel is true. I have the agency to decide whether or not to follow the standards that are part of this Church and I find I am happiest when I do follow them. I love the emphasis on family that the Mormon religion provides. Knowing that I have an eternal plan and that my family can be together eternally brings me so much joy and meaning in my life. I know that when I pray I have a Heavenly Father that is listening to my prayers. Sometimes the answers don't come as fast as I would like, or maybe the answer to my prayer isn't even what I was hoping for, but the end result is always the same; He hears and answers me. As the world's view on family and lifestyle changes I have the opportunity to hold onto constant truths. I know that I am not perfect but I believe I have a Heavenly Father and Savior who are cheering me on. My Heavenly Father wants me to repent and to try again. He wants me to succeed and be happy. There is no better feeling than to understand that simple truth.

How I live my faith

As a member of my ward I teach the 8-11 year old girls twice a month in the afternoon. We set goals in areas like, "Developing Talents," "Serving Others," and "Learning and Living the Gospel," and then work together to pass off the goals. Sometimes we do a craft or a service activity in the community. The girls love coming and I love being a part of their lives. I also visit some of the ladies in my church on at least a monthly basis. This helps form friendships and someone to call or lean on in time of need. It's a great way to feel included!
