Hi I'm Elder Bryce Marvin

I'm a small, farm town kind of Elder. I love being happy, cause that's where it is at, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the LDS church all of my life, and have NEVER regretted it. I like to meet new people and I also like to travel. I think being angry is wasted energy; I try to see the glass as half full at all times. I love a good adventure, and am willing to try new things.

Why I am a Mormon

For me, it's more than attending church, it's how I feel everyday. I am the kind of person who likes to step back and evaluate everything around me, and I have seen so many people struggle because they don't really know how to be happy. Sure doing something bad may bring you momentary pleasure, but I know there is a much more grand picture than that. I know I can be eternally happy, because of that which my Savior has done for me. I know that God loves us all, and he always wants to help us succeed. I know he has given us the Bible and the Book of Mormon for our benefit, even though many won't take the time to see. I know that God answers prayers in many different ways, whether it be through people around us, the scriptures, a feeling or thought, or any form of inspiration! I have felt his peace with me because of the Gift of the Holy Ghost which I received after my baptism, and I concstantly try to live in a way that the spirit can best help me. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. Who would stare death in the eye and fear not because of his great faith? Most men would value their life more than their church, but Joseph knew what he had to do, and his example drives me to want to be a little better. I have always wanted to serve my God through a mission, and I know that I will be able find those who are ready for the gospel, and they will be able to experience this great joy and share it with others.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is important to me. Im not a "Sunday Latter-Day Saint", in fact I believe living in accordance to God's will is an everyday opportunity. Many see religious beliefs as restrictions, but they are in fact the key to being more free. When we obey our fathers word, he do not put ourselves into situations that could lead to problems. When someone gets caught up in poor situations, their freedom becomes restricted. I try to follow what the scriptures say as well as the prophets in this wonderful church, because I know that they are the words of God! I support my church in all that I do and say, and I recognize that many people watch me closely in hopes that I may slip. I am not perfect, but I always try to give my best effort. "Anything worth doing, is worth doing well!" I know that we are here to help each other, and I know that is a blessing. I love having a ward that is so willing to help me and my family with whatever we may need. In return, I will helpe those around me also. its a give and receive church, and that is one of the many wonders we have! I love to live my faith because it helps me stand for what I know and makes desicions much easier for me!
