Hi I'm Mike

I grew up in Colorado, but now live in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The funnest thing I like to do is canyoneering. Not only does Arizona have the biggest canyon in the Grand Canyon, but there are a myriad of small canyons that are true gems. Rock-hopping, wading, and swimming in the cool water of a creek at the bottom of a canyon is the best way to spend a hot summer day. The most interesting thing I've done is research my family history. I learned that I am descended from the first Spanish colonists who traveled north from Mexico in 1598 and settled in New Mexico. I've been able to trace some of my family lines back to Spain in the mid-1500's.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and because of His Atonement, the Savior of all mankind. I've read the Bible and The Book of Mormon and believe that both testify of Jesus Christ. I've prayed and felt in my heart that the Mormon church contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My life is filled with experiences of happiness and worry, just like anyone, I suppose. I've learned that the best way to live is to establish relationships of love, as Christ taught. I've never been sorry for any time that I've reached out to help someone.
