Hi I'm Shana

I live in Pinetop, AZ. I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with 4 brothers. My husband grew up with 10 brothers. Needless to say, we are not used to girls, so we are struggling to managing all the drama that comes with our 5 year old daughter! I also have 2 boys and 1 other daughter (she is only 2 months, no drama yet!) and I love every minute of being a full time mother! I love the outdoors and living in the beautiful mountain where I can take advantage of hiking, camping and fishing. I enjoy reading and have a love of learning. I am a proud college graduate and hope to pass on that example to my children. I ran my first full marathon (yep...all 26.2 miles!) two years ago and hope to run others in the future. I love my life, especially my awesome famiy. They are a blessing and add so much joy to my life everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to grow up in an LDS home where I learned that I was a Child of God at a very young age. I don't think there was ever a time when I doubted the things that my parents taught me. I sought to reinforce the things I had learned through the feelings that came with study and prayer. I remember as a young teenager, passing the beautiful temples scattered through ID and UT and being so curious as to what really went on there. I promised myself that I would live my life so that when the time was right, I could enter into the Temple, my Heavenly Father's house. This was the driving force that kept me from inappropriate behavior, such as drugs and alcohol, sex, and all the other stuff kids can fall into. Looking back, that promise to myself, was the greatest decision I have ever made. It has lead to wonderful blessings in my life. I have a beautiful family that I know I can be with forever. I have a sense of security in knowing who I am, a Daughter of God. I know that God has so much in store for me. Only He knows my full potential, and I hope that I can continue on a path to unlock that potential and become all that He would have me be.

How I live my faith

I think the most important way to show my faith is through example. I try my best to radiate the love God bestows upon me to others that I come in contact with everyday. I am able to spend a lot of time with ladies that I go to church with that are in all different walks of life. From them, I gleen a vast amount of wisdom and knowledge to make me a better person. I hope that I take that knowledge and love and pass it to others around me. I am so fortunate to have met a lot of wonderful people through out my life and have been blessed to know them. My wish and hope is that they feel it a blessing to know me because of the example that I am trying to be.
