Hi I'm Bran

I'm a father of 6 great kids. I am an orthodontist....and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 6 kids....4 boys and 2 girls. I also run my own business as an Orthodontist. Despite being busy with all these things, my wife, children and I also get to spend some time travelling as a family. We sometimes visit local sites in Arizona like the Grand Canyon, and other times get a little farther away to places like Hawaii. My favorite things to do as a family is to snow ski. I find this connection between the outdoors, nature and my family just clicks. I can feel the grandeur of God's creations in the mountains and the trees and snow....and in the existence of my family. We also recently have taken up surfing. My kids are definitely better than I am. It is hard to teach old dogs new tricks!

Why I am a Mormon

Eventhough I was born into the LDS faith, I had to make a personal decision to not only become a "member", but to truly follow the teachings of our faith, the prophet, and Jesus Christ. I had to learn for myself if this was God's true church on this Earth, and that he had a plan for me and as his children. I have a testimony that God lives. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ to this Earth to not only set an example for us, but primarily to be our Savior. If we will learn of him, follow him and keep God's commandments, I know that we can gain peace and happiness in this life...as well as in the life to come. The one thing about the restored gospel that gives me the greatest peace now, and hope for the future, is the truth that we can have eternal families; that my family can be together forever......otherwise, what I am living for?

How I live my faith

I try to balance my family and professional life with service to both my local community and my church. Through my business we are constantly supporting local sports and service groups in their efforts, as well as directly serving the community. During this year my office staff and I have served at a local food bank for disadvantaged children, and have also raised money to support the efforts of this food bank. We also pick a handful of patients each year that need our orthodontic services that could never afford it. We donate this orthodontic treatment and hopefully help change the lives of these wonderful people. At church I serve as a leader over a group of approximately 30 men ranging in age between 19 and 55. We meet together each Sunday at church, but also serve the local community in various capacities. Usually our efforts are directed towards neighborhood clean-ups, service at local charities and fun raising for local charities.
