Hi I'm Becky DeWitt

I live in and love Mesa, AZ. I am a mom of 8 kids - 4 great in-law kids - and a grammy to 8 adorable grandkids. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love reading, crossword puzzles, drawing, sewing, anything crafty, and I especially love putting jigsaw puzzles together. If I could invent a job for me to make money it would be to put together those puzzles. (I also enjoy singing and dancing - although my kids would ask that I might not do these too often). I have a deep passion for playing games too. I was lucky enough to find a wonderful and funny man years ago and we have had 8 children. My kids make me laugh every day and I'm glad I had so many!

Why I am a Mormon

I have never doubted my belief in the Savior. I was born into a Mormon family, where my parents had not been sealed in the Temple. At the age of 4 I remember going inside the beautiful Arizona Temple and being sealed to them for eternity. This experience, although I was young, helped me know where I wanted to be able to go and feel the Saviors love. I cannot imagine a life without the Gospel. I, as we all have, had had my struggles and disappointments along the way, but I also know that we are in an earthly life, where we are challanged everyday with things to overcome and learn. Some are just harder than others. Since I know who I am and where I came from, I find it comforting in this scary and sometimes dangerous world. I know if I keep my testimony strong, have faith and do what is right, that I will someday return to a loving Heavenly Father who is anxious for me to come home to Him. God has a purpose for each one of us. He has given us talents and abilities. May you find comfort in your own life by believing in Him.

How I live my faith

Each day I strive to be a good example to my children, friends and neighbors. The blessing of being a mother has to be, and will be, my favorite forever. I involve myself in my neighboring schools as a teachers aid - such as a Reading Buddy to students or as an Art Masterpiece person. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for life with anyone who is in my arms reach. Life is good and we, as one whole, can make it better.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Becky DeWitt
I have been blessed with wonderful children. I can say that I have struggled through terrible twos, awkward tweens, obstinant teenagers and now even married children, just like some of you have, and wondered if I was doing any good at all. Mormons are regular people like you, trying to live a life that a loving Heavenly Father would be proud of. Yes, we are human. Yes, we make mistakes. And yes, we have church members who falter and who sometimes make bad decisions, but we know that Heavenly Fathers Plan is for us to be happy here on earth. We get challanges along the way. We are not immune from earthly temptations or sicknesses either. As a family, it takes a lot of work to support one another, love one another and depend on one another. As family members we must work hard at our relationships just as we do with making and keeping good friends. We believe that we will be together again in the life after this and for that reason we work hard at being 'together' here on earth. Show more Show less
