Hi I'm Kirsten
I'm a Mormon.
Married 10 years. Mother of 3 kids under 5 who teach me how wonderful life is. I have a BA in International Relations - Latin America. I learned Spanish on a church mission in Houston, TX. To utilize my language talent, I give back by teaching Spanish in an afterschool program. I also sign. I love to read, mtn bike, run, dance, laugh, hike and swim mostly with my family. My husband and I raced cross country mountain bikes before kids. Now we enjoy family trail rides. I love the rain.
Why I am a Mormon
Peace. Even in the gravest circumstances, when I'm close to my Saviour I feel the greatest peace. My family converted to the lds faith. My personal conversion came during a time of confusion - high school. :) Missionaries taught me, answered questions, showed me great love and patience. I prayed and asked God if what I'd been taught was true. I discovered that continuing on this path is following the Saviour. In my heart, I already knew Joseph Smith was called by God to be His servant - a prophet, the Book of Mormon is of God and my parents taught me well.
How I live my faith
I attend church faithfully every Sunday. I attend because of the peace I feel - the gospel is true. Even if I don't have friends there, I go. My commitment is to God. I volunteer my time and talents at church. I've most recently been involved with cub scouts. I will return to teaching adult women this fall. My preference in service is teaching His gospel whether a class of 3 year-olds or 30 year-olds.
