Hi I'm bonnie lyman

I taugth Elementary School before I had children.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If you want to give me a present that I'll really like, give me something out of the ordinary. I really like to sew (because I like all the gorgeous fabric that is sold) and I like to cook (because I love to EAT). I have 5 adult children and 4 grandchildren (1 boy, 3 girls). I graduated from college and taught school for 2 years; I volunteer every year for a 3 on 3 basketball tournament that is held in Spokane; I have a part time job at Williams Sonoma.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints right after I graduated from college. I joined because it felt right and I had been looking into other churchs. My fiance was the one who introduced me to this church so I took 2 years to invistigate it before I joined wanting to know if we never married would I still believe in this church. The answer was yes. I have always felt blessed in my life if for nothing else than to be living in a area of the world where I have easy access to food, clothing, and shelter. I needed to thank someone and through becoming a member of the Mormon church I learned it was my Heavenly Father I needed to thank. The greatest blessing Heavenly Father has given me is His plan of happiness....the knowledge that through the atonement of Jesus Christ I can be fogiven for all those mistakes I have made and will make, enabling me to see my Father in Heaven again after I die. I am glad that I know that by my having a Temple marriage I am sealed to my family forever. There is nothing more important in my life than my family. Life is easier when you have a plan...the gospel gives me a plan to follow that enables me to always be happy no matter what trials come into my life.

How I live my faith

Because I am so loved by a Father in Heaven, I want to learn to love others like He does. I feel a responsibility to accept people for who they are no matter what their circumstances might be. I live my faith of following the Savior by trying to serve others. In my church I teach 8 & 9 year olds Sunday School. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want them to make good choices when they are older so I try very hard to teach them things that will help them live righteous lives. I also visit 5 women in my ward once a month. I try to be a friend to them in such a way that they would always feel comfortable asking me for help if they needed it.
