Hi I'm Emma

I'm a young mum from Queensland. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im young, married and newly a mother. Coming from a large family consisting of 9 children, i now get to share the joy of starting my own family. Im always trying to improve myself, and love to master what i learn down to detail. Im always eager to learn new things and have a huge list of courses i want to study, from dancing through beauty to lifestyle and intelect. I love animals of almost every kind and photography which i have been doing as a hobby for many years and taking baby steps to turn what i love into a profession. Although i love many sports, i especially love indoor soccer. I've recently been able to return to playing at our local Centre. The intensity of the game and the skill of footwork used in the game fascinates me. I love listening to people talk about politics, i find it intriging about people's passion for how their country is run and why they support who they support. All in all im generally a rather quiet person at this stage in my life but hope to be a force for good in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents had joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in their late teens, both had little family support. I love to hear the stories of how and why my parents joined. I myself was raised to attend church with my family and have almost never given it a second thought, perhaps once when i was a teenager, though i never doubted that what i knew was true, it was more to test my freedom or to be more accurate to rebel against my parents. I wanted to know if i was just attending church because my parents did or if this truely was the life i wanted to live. I can honestly say that the times in my life when i have lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ, i have been the happiest. Im a mormon because i know the Church is true, because we are free to choose the lives we want to live and because when i listen to/ read what the Prophet has to say and follow his counsel, i know that this brings me true joy in my life regardless of what happens and what anyone else says. The Church gives the information we need to put our lives in order, and has a huge interest in the Family Unite which much of the world has turned it's back on. Im not a mormon because i am perfect, Im a mormon because i want to perfect my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being proactive about what i believe, i teach classes montly for the women who attend church and fill in to teach classes for children when their teacher is unavailable. I show my love for and visit some of the elderly women of our ward not because it is a duty but because i love them like a Grandmother. And offer my help to them when it is needed. I love my husband and tell him often how much he means to me. When i am able to i help those in need, from moving homes to being a shoulder to cry on. I treat people i don't know with respect and give absolute strangers a friendly smile. Doing all this would mean nothing if they were merely actions and words, but its the nature behind what i do and say that truely gives meaning to what i do.
