Hi I'm Adelle

I am a big sister, daughter, wife, friend, colleague, vegemite fan and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Sydney but grew up in Brisbane as the eldest of four children. I studied politics and marketing at Griffith University, and now I work for the Government, which gives me great opportunities to help people and contribute to the community. I especially enjoy opportunities to help communities impacted by natural disasters. I married John in the Brisbane temple in 2007. My husband and I bought a fixer-upper house that we’ve been renovating for a few years now (nearly there!). I enjoy baking, gardening, shopping with friends and naps on Saturday afternoon!

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a Mormon because it feels right and makes me happy. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a really important part of who I am, it helps me set my personal ethics and standards, gives me direction and peace. I’ve studied the gospel, experimented with living the principles of the gospel and know that it’s the truth. I love the security and peace of knowing who I am, why I’m here, where I’m going, and knowing that my Heavenly Father loves me and is watching over me.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is part of every day. I live my faith in each decision I make. Being honest, compassionate, hardworking and showing integrity are ways that I stay true to my beliefs. Each day starts and ends with prayer, which gives me great strength and guidance. I look for opportunities to help others, small and large. One of my favourite ways of serving is running the nursery for toddlers at Church each Sunday – they applaud my very average singing! 
