Hi I'm Todd

I'm a native Arizonan, father of six children, lawyer, cyclist, avid fan of college/high school sports, and proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a fifth generation native of Arizona. In the late 1870s, my Mother's ancestors settled the small town of Woodruff, located in Northern Arizona near the Little Colorado River. After graduating from high school, I served a mission for the Church in the Netherlands and Belgium. I later earned an undergraduate degree in American Studies and a law degree. I have practiced law for more than twenty years, and am currently a commercial litigator with a national law firm specializing in securities, professional liability, and corporate litigation. My wife and I will be married 25 years next April 28 (2012), and are the proud parents of six amazing children. I love to spend my free time with my family, as well as play basketball, road bike, run, go to the movies, travel, and read books on american and religious history. Most Friday nights you will find me at a high school football or basketball game, and I'm an avid fan of both college football and college basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for three basic reasons. First, and most importantly, I received a witness that Jesus is the Christ and my personal Savior; that He and God the Father appeared to the prophet Joseph Smith to restore the keys of the priesthood and the true Gospel of Jesus Christ; and that the Book of Mormon contains the true word of God. Second, the restored Gospel brings peace, meaning, and perspective to my life, and helps me be a better husband, father and person. Third, no other religion offers more understanding of man's origin, purpose and destiny, or more answers to the perplexing questions of evil and human suffering.

How I live my faith

I live my religion by serving and loving my wife and my children, by serving others in the community as a home teacher and in other capacities, and by trying to serve faithfully in my Church callings, including my current calling as Bishop of my Ward.
