Hi I'm Danny

I live in Arizona even though I hate the heat. I'm in grad school, work in mental health and love to cook...and eat.

About Me

I've always loved learning about and working with people. I currently work in a group home helping people with mental illness and behavioral issues, including substance abuse, learn independent living skills. It challenging but rewarding work. I also attend graduate school and hope one day to be a counselor. Cooking is one of my main hobbies but I also enjoy watching movies, playing games and talking...sometimes too much.

Why I am a Mormon

My most basic reason for being in this church is that I have seen over and over that I'm happier and more successful when I live according to what this church teaches about Jesus Christ. Whenever I start to feel sad, anxious, upset or just generally bad, I know that I am not living according to what I have learned from this church.

How I live my faith

In my line of work, mental health, it is essential to treat people from all walks of life with compassion and respect. While there are many scientifically based reasons for this, it essentially boils down to charity and humility. I also serve in my ward as a helper in the leadership. I do all that I can to reach out to others, helping them feel welcome and valued. All of this experience helps me to be a better friend and professional as well.
