Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon, a husband, and a father.

About Me

I married a redhead. I am a father of three boys that never stop pestering each other and a daughter that has me wrapped around her pinky finger. I enjoy helping my elderly neighbors and spending time camping and hiking. Despite all my flaws and imperfections I know that I am a Son of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents are, their parents were, and so were theirs. The real question is why am I still a Mormon. The simple answer is because I exercised faith in God and asked in prayer if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true path back to him; did Joseph Smith really see God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ; is the Book of Mormon divinely inspired scripture; can families really be united after death. Through the power and inspiration of the Holy Ghost, I know for certain I knew that this was the path for me.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Bishop in the Church. It is hard to help raise my family and care for the needs of the 350+ members of the Church. I live by faith. Faith that my family will be cared for as I serve others. Faith that my children will learn to sacrifice their "wants" to improve the lives of others. Faith that the time I spend away from my family demonstrates to them that I love the members of my congregation. Faith that when all is said an done, I will be with my family for eternity!
