Hi I'm Kathy Partridge

My husband and I have served three missions. We will be serving another in Kirtland Ohio. I am a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a mom and grandmother. We have six children and five grandchildren. Our children are grown now. I like to sew clothes for our grandchildren and quilt. I also enjoy cooking, scrap booking, reading, and journaling. I got a college degree in secretarial studies when I was young. Later in life I went back to school and got an associate in General Studies. I have worked as a paraprofessional in a Scills class. I worked with developmentally delayed children as well as children with Down Syndrome.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church is true. I believe that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I believe that God hears and answers our prayers and that he loves everyone. I believe that Jesus is the Christ and that he atoned for our sins. I want to follow his example by being kind to everyone and loving unconditionally.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to others. I like serving in the temple as a temple worker. I also am a visiting teacher and a ward missionary. I served a mission when I was 21 in Columbus, Ohio. My husband and I have served office missions in Apia Samoa and Gilbert, Arizona. We will be serving another mission in November at the Kirtland Ohio Visitor's Center.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Kathy Partridge
The purpose of our life here on earth is: To gain a physical body, to learn through our experiences the difference between good and evil, to learn to follow the example of our elder brother Jesus Christ and become more like him and our Heavenly Father, to have family relationships that are continue in the next life. All of us have been given our freedom of choice and our happiness in this life and the next will depend upon our choices. Show more Show less
