Hi I'm Brittney

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of two. I was born and raised in Arizona. I grew up playing sports. I really liked softball and volleyball. I graduated from ASU in Exercise and Wellness. I now am a stay at home Mom. I love what I do and am grateful that I am able to be home with my kids. My family and church are what make me most happy in life. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, crafting, and cooking/baking/eating.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. My parents were active in the church. I grew up going to church and was about taught the gospel. When I was around 12 years old I wanted to make sure that I truly believed the church was true. I wanted to know for myself and not just be a Mormon because my family members were all members. I decided I needed to carefully read the scriptures, pray and ponder to find out for myself if the church was true. I never had a single moment where it hit me that the church was true. Instead I had many instances where I felt the Holy Ghost confirm to me that the church was true. Those many instances have helped my testimy grow stronger. I believe that this is God's true church. I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and restored the Gospel. I believe that President Monsen is a prophet and he receives inspiration for us today. I believe that families can be together forever. I know these things to be true because I have read the scriptures and prayed to know for myself if the church was true and have felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that it is true. My life has been blessed from being a member of the LDS Church and I am truly happy because of it.

How I live my faith

I attend church each sunday. I am also a visiting teacher and visit 3 women monthly. Another lady and I share a short message with them, visit with them and find out if they help with anything. I have enjoyed being a visiting teacher and having my own visiting teachers come visit me because it helps me stay connected with other members of the church and to gain true friendships. I also help plan activities for the women in the ward. We have 1 night once a month that the women in the ward gather together for an activity. These activities vary from learning a skill, learning from a speaker, doing a craft or many other things.
