Hi I'm Scott

I am married with 5 daughters. I am a landscape architect and planner. I enjoy playing paintball with my family & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The most important thing to me is my family. I have an amazing wife and five incredible daughters. One of our favorite family activities is to play paintball using wrist rockets instead of markers. Win or lose, it is fun to be running around together and enjoying one another. Professionally I am a landscape architect and environmental planner. Right now I spend a lot of time working on or reviewing NEPA documents. I don't like having pets in the house (except for fish), but we have a yorkie poo named Suqui.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life. My parents are Mormons and all of my siblings are Mormons. Growing up I was thankful for the values and guidance the Church gave me. I was able to avoid many challenges by following the teachings of the church. Knowing of our Heavenly Father and his love for each one of us, has been a comfort and support for me throughout my life. My wife and I have faced challenges of unemployment, financial challenges, and health issues. Our commitment to each other and to the principles of the church have helped us during challenging times.

How I live my faith

In my ward I am the Membership Clerk. That means I keep track of members in our ward and record ordinances such as baptisms. I enjoy my calling but one of my favorite ward callings has been a Sunday School teacher for the youth. I enjoy teaching others and helping them understand different ideas. I have heard people say Mormonism is too restrictive. For me, I enjoy attending church regularly and I enjoy serving others. Following the teachings of the church has brought me great joy.
