Hi I'm Leanne

I grew up in Vancouver, Canada. I have attended five universities, am a busy mother, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Leanne. I'm a house manager - in other words, a busy mother and wife. I love to stay on my toes and keep myself and kids on the go. I grew up in Canada. I eventually moved to the United States to attend Brigham Young University, where I met my husband. After graduating with a degree in Psychology, I worked as a public speaker/ product manager for a skin care company. My job allowed me to build relationships, travel the country and help put my husband through school. I have since left that job for a far more important one, to be a mother. In this role, I have found a love that I never knew I had to give. It is truly the most important and essential job any woman could have.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon faith. I always felt something - but I couldn't put my finger on it. Though there were many times growing up where I wanted nothing to do with a church, I always felt that what I knew and felt was true. Upon moving away from home to attend college, I desired more than anything to find out if the Book of Mormon was true. I read and studied the Book of Mormon each night and prayed that I might know whether the things I read were true. It was a simple experiment with a simple answer - yes, this book is true. I agree that my conversion story is nothing spectacular, but very simple. I prayed with a sincere heart and a had a desire to know - and in return I was able to feel the Holy Ghost and know for myself that this gospel is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. He lives, He loves us and He knows each one of us.

How I live my faith

There are many people in our community who are lonely. I try to reach out to others as much as I possibly can. I know that just a quick hello can change someone's day. I also know that we forget about ourselves when we serve others. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints allows me the opportunity to work with the 8 and 9 year old girls in our neighbourhood. Every other week, we have an Activity Day where we learn or develop a new skill or talent with the girls. The girls have such a passion for life and bring a great energy to mine.
