Hi I'm Arlene

My childhood home was a ranch in Corinne, Utah. Now I live in Arizona, the land of spectacular sunsets. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother. Family is at the center of my happiness. I enjoy music, reading, baking, sewing, road trips, the beach, and funny movies.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the church of Jesus Christ gives me direction and peace as I travel through life. Have you ever noticed how the roads and signs make driving a car so much safer and more relaxing? The order that comes from lane lines, traffic lights, freeway exits, etc. brings to mind that our journey on earth has guideposts, milestones, and speed bumps. The gospel will get us where we need to go. My earliest memory is of running down a shady sidewalk into the outstretched arms of my father. He smiled and lifted me up, then hugged me close to his warm cheek. My temple covenants give me hope of someday receiving a similar greeting from my Heavenly Father. I know that family relationships can be eternal.

How I live my faith

A long time ago I heard a church leader say that we would often be called on to do things we felt we didn't know how to do. It takes faith to accept responsibilities that seem daunting, but it strengthens me and blesses others when I do my best. The Lord will help us accomplish His purposes and I am happy to do my part. I have taught children, youth, and adults in a variety of settings--and it seems to me that loving those I serve works wonders. Through prayer, scripture study, and service, I feel God's love.
