Hi I'm Peggy

I grew up in California in the 60's. I traveled and lived in Europe and South America as a young adult. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Spokane, Washington and I am a wife, a mom to 5 great kids and a grandmother to 12. I love being with my family and playing games with them and laughing with them. I love to be outside walking or working in the garden. I love life and I find great beauty in this world. I have a passion for reading, studying and learning especially gospel learning. My husband and I have lived in Argentina and Peru for several years and I love the spanish people, language and culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in California in the turbulent days of the 60's. I had many questions that plagued me continually such as: What is the purpose of this life? Why are we here? and Where are we going after this life? I went to a protestant church until I was 12 and it was there that my curiosity to know about Jesus Christ first blossomed. I had a thirst to know which church was true and who Jesus Christ really was and so began my search. I attended various congregations in the town where I lived and finally during my senior year in high school I happened upon the LDS church through a high school friend. I met with the missionaries and as they shared with me the restored gospel of Jesus Christ it was as if the clouds parted and the sun shone upon me. I knew what they taught me was true and that Joseph Smith had been called in these last days to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness to the earth. I have never looked back nor regretted my decision to be baptized into the LDS church. I have found all the answers I was searching for and more importantly as I have lived the gospel of Jesus Christ I have found great joy and peace even amidst the difficult challenges that life sometimes presents.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by serving where ever I can. I especially love missionary work and the missionaries. I have served 2 missions in South America and hope to serve more. I love teaching the youth and visiting and serving the wonderful women in our ward. I have learned so much as I have served others and it has helped me to understand more personally how Heavenly Father loves each one of us. We are His hands here on the earth to help and succor his children. It is an awesome responsibility to take care of one another and help to make each others lives happy and fulfilled. I can't think of anything I would rather do.
