Hi I'm Lauren

I'm a happily married mother of three who loves to play soccer, run, or any activity that keeps me in shape. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I often do things once, just so I can say, "I did it." That is what made me go skydiving, bungee jumping, go through the pains of natural child birth, and run a marathon. Somehow the thought of me being able to say, to myself and others, "I did it and I didn't give up!" rallies the strength I need to follow through. I love having a goal and working out a plan to succeed. It makes me want to use my time wisely and helps shape my life. I love to garden, play with my kids, go out with my husband, but most of all, I love to play soccer. Sometimes just balancing all the things I want to do is a triumph of its own! I love my life and can't wait for all the adventures ahead.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and always felt close to my Savior Jesus Christ. Our home was a home of prayer, srcipture study, and offered peace and comfort. I always knew that when I had a family of my own I wanted them to have the same peace and comfort. All through my youth and adulthood I have heard prophets speaking the words of God. They have guided me and taught me to read the scriptures, go to church, pray, and serve others. This counsel has given me great happiness. Every time I do what the Lord has commanded me he has let me know in my heart and mind that it is right. The more I follow him the more clearly my purpose on earth becomes. This gospel makes me so happy, I can't imagine living my life without feeling the constant love of my savior.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church. I work with 8 to 10 year olds twice a month. It is called activity days and we have so much fun doing crafts, baking, sharing spiritual thoughts, talking about their lives, and any other wholesome activities that sound like fun. I also have four women that I visit. One is in a nursing home and never remembers me but always is happy to see my little 1 yr old. She loves babies and I am happy to offer this little ray of sunshine. Another sister I have only communicated by letters because she is always too sick to visit. I hope my little gifts and letters help her in her trials. The other two sisters are very knowledgeable and I always leave their homes edified and enriched.
