Hi I'm John

I am a painter. I love to play with colors. I make homes look beautiful and new. My passion is my Family and I am a happy mormon.

About Me

I am a grandfather today for the 8th time. I love my family, they give me my greatest joy. I hope that I can take time to show just how much love I have for them. Sometimes life seems to get in the way, jobs, work and providing. One thing I enjoy doing is going up to our cabin its much cooler their. My family and grand children seem to love it too. I also enjoy riding a road bike. great exercise.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon Church. I was taught what we believe as members. In my teen years I began to question the things I had been taught. Many of my friends seemed to have happier lives with more freedoms than I had. I wanted "their freedoms" as time went on I could see how wrong I was. Their freedoms cost too much. I saw the consequences of their choices. Too much sadness followed my friends, I wanted better choices for my self. A opportunity to serve as a missionary was extended by the Bishop and the church. As I asked myself "do I want to go?" I had a strong feeling that I must go or I would miss out on something wonderful. It took some time to figure out just what it meant to be a missionary. As my testimony grew so did my ability and joy in the Lords service. Today my faith brings me great joy and happiness. It brings my wife and I closer together, and closer to our extended family.

How I live my faith

My calling in the church is Bishop. I love to serve others, as a Bishop I lead the ward in many areas. Members of our ward are so good about helping one another. They look after and love others. It feels so good to be apart of this team of people that are trying to live like Jesus Christ. As I try to follow Christ I receive the greatest blessings of peace and calm in a world so troubled. I also am trying to trust in God and his will for me. As I open myself to possibilities greatness shows up.
