Hi I'm Julie

I am a Mom, wife, sister, daughter, gardener, lover of books, learning, traveling, being with my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the LDS Church and am the oldest of five children. I served a full-time mission in Portugal, which I absolutely enjoyed. I have a bachelors degree in Sociology. I married an amazing man in the Salt Lake Temple sixteen years ago. Right now I am a full time stay at home Mom to my three darling children. I love being involved in my community by being involved in my children's schools. I am passionate about education and what it can do to help and lift all people. I also enjoy being outside in my yard, working in my garden or planting flowers. I love my life and feel very blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

Everyday I am just trying to do my best and follow the example of the Savior. Although I know that many times I fall short, I feel so much peace and happiness in my life when I am trying to be like Him. I grew up the oldest of five children. My Dad died when I was six and my Mom was pregnant with her fifth child. Growing up in my family was not easy and my Mom had to work very hard to take care of us. However, being a member of the LDS Church I was taught at a very early age that I would be with my Dad again. Even though our life was difficult I always have had such a peace knowing that my Dad would always be a part of our family and we would all be together again. Being a Mormon has filled me with the hope and peace that someday our family will be together forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving those around me. I try to be a good neighbor, volunteer in my community, and most of all love serve my family. I pray and try to read and study the scriptures daily with my family. At Church I work with the fourteen and fifteen year old girls by teaching lessons on Sunday and having activities with them during the week.
