Hi I'm Dave

I'm a Mormon. I'm 56 and wish that time would stop going so fast. I like chocolate ice cream and home made spaghetti.

About Me

I used to be a cabinet installer for many years and enjoy working with my hands. I like raquetball, and have started to like fishing and boating. I like going to the gym and exercising with my 12 year old son. I still love date nights with my wife Tana.

Why I am a Mormon

I am still a member of this church that I was born into. I served a mission to Argentina when I was 19 for two years. Soon after starting my mission, I discovered that Mormons are not the only people on earth who think that they have the truth. I began a very intense study of the scriptures and of other Faiths and could not find anything wrong with the book of Mormon in relation to the Bible. My search ended with me on my knees praying fervently for an answer. The answer came as the sweetest of feelings and of a reassurance and a knowing that the church and Book of Mormon are true. I have a very real testimony of the power of the Holy Ghost and it's ability to guide us to truth. I know that more than I know anything else. I know that the Prophets and Apostles that lead the church are men of sound understanding and they themselves have a light and power with them that I have not witnessed in any other church. They speak softly and boldly and the Holy Ghost bears witness to their words. He that hath ear to hear let him hear.

How I live my faith

Mostly I've tried to be a good home teacher and have tried be a good Primary and Sunday School Teacher. Kids can be a challenge some days but it seems I have always been a kid at heart and relate best with kids. I've always been kind to my neighbors even those that say that they don't want anything to do with Mormons. I believe that we are all Gods Children and that regardless of what a persons religious beliefs are does not effect my willingness to be a friend to them. Sometimes I've gotten comments from Neighbors saying that we (my family) are different from other Mormons they've known. Some of our best friends are non Mormons. I do believe that the day will come that they will be willing to join themselves to the True Church even if it happens in the next life. And I will have been proud to have always been a friend to them irregardless of their Faith or Religious Affiliations.
