Hi I'm Ronnie

I love enjoying life and am grateful to have God's help in doing so, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Oh my granola. I never know what to say in these kinds of things. I guess I'll just list some hobbies or something. I like to play sports, video games, card games, board games. I also like to read, mostly fantasy books. Spending time with my family and friends is also fun too. Eating and sleeping are also pass-times when appropriate. I also like to work, it helps a person feel good. So yeah, I guess that's pretty much it.

Why I am a Mormon

Technically because I was born in the church, so I didn't appreciate the things I was taught. When I left home I didn't have my own testimony to stand on and I became inactive in church. It wasn't until I was confused as to what I wanted out of life and I remembered that God is my Father in Heaven and he cares about my cares, that I prayed and asked for His help. The change was almost immediate. My life had turned from having long, monotonous days to being anxious to start a new day. It was returning to church, studying from the Book of Mormon and praying that had reminded me of my purpose as a child of God.

How I live my faith

One of the most important ways to show our faith is to actually live what we're taught. All the principles we're taught are to bring us closer to God and to help us become better citizens of our country. I know that as I have lived I have gained the respect of my peers by living the gospel standards of the Lord, even if they don't share my view of standards. Serving others, out of love, is one of the best ways we can live our faith, because that is what our faith is about; loving others and serving them. I know from personal experience that as we help others with their problems and worries that ours start to become lighter as we develop charity for those around us. Right now I'm on a mission. I left Oct. 12, 2011. I'm at the Idaho Pocatello Mission. I love helping others recognize the wonderful blessing of having Christ in their lives and to see the happiness it brings them.
