Hi I'm Joshua Covarrubias

I love to adventure, I am a missionary serving in Utica, New York and I am a Mormon!

About Me

Born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I love to be in Nature! Snowboarding is cool. And I play the Sax.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a Mormon family has helped me gain a testimony of Jesus Christ. My parents influenced me by helping me understand the importance of going to church, prayer, and reading my scriptures. When I turned eight years old I decided to be baptized. Soon after I was confirmed a member and was given the gift of the Holy Ghost. At this point of my life I felt close to God. As I got older I started to become influenced by the world and by my junior year of high school I was lost. The peace I use to feel when I was younger had dissipated and I craved to have that feeling of peace again. I decided to turn to God and submit my will to him and repent of all of my sins. This point of my life I decided to serve a mission because, of the testimony I had gained about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I wanted to share my knowledge about the Atonement to as many people as I could. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ changes lives. Taking the challenge to studying and reading the whole Book of Mormon and asking God if it was true has also left a big mark in my conversion. As I completed the challenge I was able to find an answer for myself. I know this Church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus and following in His footsteps and do what He would do. I love serving others. Right now I am serving a two year mission in upstate New York.
