Hi I'm Jacque

I'm a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and have worked all my life as a secretary.

About Me

I am married, never had any children of my own. My husband has 4 children by a previous wife. I have worked all of my life. I am 67 years young. I do not feel old. I love crafting. I have sold things at craft sales from time to time, but mostly I love giving the things I make to my friends and family. I love having my husbands children (who are all grow now) in my life. We have 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. We live in a town of about 10,000 people. Our children live about 150 miles from here in different directions. I love life, my husband and my children very much.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the way Mormons live. When I first joined the church, I was taking a psychology class at the local community college and the instructor was Mormon and a friend. He said that even if, when he died he found out the church was not true and all that, it is a good way to live your life while you are on this earth. I agree with that 100%, even though I now have a testimony that the church IS true here on earcth. I do know that Heavenly Father (and Heavenly Mother) live and that Jesus Christ lives and that he died for me. I once read "I know I am not perfect, but Jesus Christ thinks I am to die for". The minute I read that I just knew he loved me and he wants the best for me in my life. Sometime I have question as to how he can know ME and hear MY prayers, one of billions of people in the world, but I do know he knows me and hears me. I don't know how, I just know he does. My love for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ has opened up my ability to love others in a way I never could before. I do not know now, how people make it in this world without knowing they are in their corner. I am proud to say I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

We go to church every week, and I really love it. I work with the young women, the 12 and 13 year olds. I really enjoy working with these girls. One happens to be my great neice. I have worked with the younger children and the young women on and off for years. The young ones keep me young. My husband and I also volounteer at our local hospital. We both really enjoy doing this. Get to meet new people and see older ones we haven't seen for a long time. The people in my ward are truly my extended family. They are always willing to serve when needed.
